  1. If you think staying out of Utah because of our liquor laws is a good idea, you haven't seen us consume chocolate, or salsa, or Hansen's soda, or . . . the list goes on. We NEED YOU!

  2. I don't know what the liquor laws are in CT where I shop, but they don't sell liquor in the Trader Joe's there, so I think not opening in Utah is just some kind of conspiracy or something.... : )

  3. Please Trader Joe's! Plleeeeeaaassseee!! We visited your golden shores for the first time last week when we were in California and fell in love for reals. My 2 year old has been begging for "ice cream yogurt" (what he calls TJ's brand vanilla cream yogurt) since we left and cries whenever I try to feed him some non TJ's yogurt. Bring us your goodness!

  4. Red Lobster stayed away for a long time, because of the liquor laws. They opened one restaurant, and found that whatever they lost in liquor sales, they more than made up for in desserts.

The University/Foothill area would be a bonanza for TJ's, and for the students and couples who would finally have decent small, prepared, healthy meals.

We packed back a bag from TJ's on our recent trip to San Diego. We need TJ's, we really do.

  5. I love Trader Joe's!!! My mom goes down to the local store in San Jose, CA to get a case of granola cereal to send me at a time. I'm going to Oregon for a week and planning on taking an extra suitcase just so I can bring back at least 10 boxes of it. We need a trader Joe's in Salt Lake City.

  6. We LOVE Trader Joes!!! We lived in Virginia for 4 years and absoluely fell in love with the wonderful healthy yummy food, great prices, and frequent flyers. My husband gota job in Utah a few years ago and we are having horrible withdrawals. We wish we could enjoy Trader Joes here. Every time we travel anywhere with a Trader Joes, we make lots of room to stock up on the wonderful food. My kids have fallen in love with the food too and love to eat all of their favorite foods from Trader Joes. Please come here. Utah needs you so bad.

  11. You saved my life in DC. Please, I need you. I may have to move out of Utah in order to be near you. Seriously. I'm considering a job in Boston and you're one of the top factors.

  16. We make it a point to shop at Trader Joes every time we visit our daughter in the Phoenix area. We always haul treats back to our family in Utah. We often get specific requests for the cookies.
We frequently say how we wish Trader Joes would come to Utah.

  17. I didn't read all the comments, so I don't know if this has already been posted. I talked to someone at TJ's a while ago about why they haven't yet come to Utah. Each 5 TJ's has a warehouse central to them. So they need to be sure that there is enough demand for 5 TJs in a 50 mile radius so that the stuff in the warehouse can be cycled through quickly enough. Not that I think it would be a problem to have 10 TJ's in a 20 mile radius here. I have never heard people so passionate about any store coming to Utah as Trader Joe's, not the least of which is me.

  18. I would love it if TJ's came to Utah. I miss going there weekly :) It would be great if they came to Utah County, but I would drive to SLC if I had to....I love it that much!

  19. I just moved to Stansbury Park, Utah from San Jose, CA. The first thing I tried to find was a Trader Joes. I am very sad to find out there is not a Trader Joes in Utah. I get all of my groceries from Trader Joes. Now what do I do? I need a Trader Joes here.

  20. We have lived in Utah for six years and still have not gotten used to the idea of no Trader Joe's. We have family in Nevada, Arizona and California so we do get to shop at TJ's when we visit them. It feels like "going home" just to step inside the door. The black olives, Just Leaves, pumpkin butter, salads, carrot muffins, Red Pepper Tomato soup, nuts, dried cherries, and oh, so much more. Please come to Utah, perhaps Draper or Sandy, Provo or Lehi. We would be glad to drive almost anywhere in Utah, just to get our favorite Trader Joe's products

  22. I would LOVE to Have Trader Joe's in UTAH!! We always stock up when we go to Vegas!!

  23. Oh, Trader Joes. If you need three stores within 50 miles, consider putting all three along the Wasatch Front. For an idea of how grateful Utahns can be, see: In N Out Burger.

  24. I'm from L.A. and I hate having to stash my trunk full of non-perishables from Trader Joes in Cerritos when in reality I'd spend a grundle more money there if I had one to enjoy in Salt Lake!

  25. They are not in Utah because of the liquor laws. I was told they have several stores back east that do not sell alcohol. It has to do with there distribution points and being able to stock the stores. They just told me in the Vegas store they hope to be here in a year. In the mean time we just keep bootleging TJ stuff back to Utah.
